Interested in P2P lending and crowdfunding in East Africa? Don’t miss the ‘Funding the Frontier: Peer-to-Peer Finance On the Move in East Africa?‘ conference in Nairobi later this month!
“Successful P2P finance requires more than willing entrepreneurs, investors and philanthropists,” stressed Joe Huxley, Strategic Partnerships and Opportunities Co-ordinator at FSD Africa. “We’d like to start a conversation between members of the wider market ecosystem – from platforms and regulatory authorities to policy-makers, technical specialists and donors across East Africa – about how to create the right momentum.”
The conference will focus on crowdfunding activity in four East African countries: Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and Rwanda.
Sponsored by FSD Africa and the Capital Markets Authority Kenya, the conference will focus on innovative crowdfunding tools in the region (including mobile phone crowdfunding), and what is needed to help the industry develop going into the future. The conference will take place on June 15 at the Royal Orchid Hotel in Nairobi — for more information and to register for the event, click here.
